A PlayStation executive has been fired by Sony after being accused of being a pedophile.
George Cacioppo, Sony’s senior vice president of engineering who works on the PlayStation Store, was hit by YouTube People v. Preds was caught on camera allegedly arranging to meet someone he believes to be a 15-year-old boy for sex.
“We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been terminated,” Sony said in an emailed statement to CNET.
In the video, a cameraman walks towards the house Cacioppo is standing outside. Cacioppo is wearing a PlayStation t-shirt. The man behind the camera then accused the former Sony executive, whom he called “Jeff”, of arranging to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex. Cacioppo used a pseudonym for his Grindr site.
Cacioppo can be seen entering his house and closing the door.
He did not respond to amateur stings or issue a statement about contract termination.
