Smart #3 EV launched at Auto Shanghai 2023 – a new model that brings SUV coupe style to the product line
The smart #3 was officially announced as the second model of the smart automotive joint venture between Geely and Mercedes-Benz, following the brand’s first model to emerge from the partnership, the smart #1. According to Smart, this is the brand’s first sport-utility coupe, featuring a more swept-back and less vertical roofline than the #1.
The technical details are not revealed in the official release from smart, although previous homology documents from China have indicated that the #3 measures in at 4,440 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall. with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. For comparison, the #1 is 4,270 mm long, 1,822 mm wide and 1,636 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.
smart has not revealed powertrain details for the #3, however the aforementioned homology documents from China have stated two power output levels for the coupe crossover, which is a 268 hp (272 kW) configuration. PS) – like that of smart #1 – along with a 154 hp version to serve as a base variant.
Inside, the dashboard architecture of #3 is largely the same as #1, with some detailed changes such as a trio of circular air-conditioning vents on the center console and oval panels in the center console. sides, instead of the transparent oval panels as above. #first.
