Sime Darby Motors appoints 14 new BYD dealers in Malaysia – 21 dealers in total by the end of 2024
Sime Darby Motors has appointed 14 new BYD dealers to expand the dealer network of the Chinese EV brand in Malaysia. Along with the stores managed by Sime Darby Beyond Auto, there will soon be a total of 21 BYD dealers across Malaysia.
Jeffrey Gan, managing director of retail and distribution of Sime Darby Motors Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau, signed the agreement with each dealer partner at a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters. “This announcement marks another milestone as it has only been six months since we launched BYD in Malaysia and today we already have 21 dealer locations lined up to meet today’s electric vehicle demand. increasing. Currently, there are 9 agents operating in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Selangor, Johor and Kedah, with 12 more to launch soon between 2023 and 2024. These agents will be located in Melaka, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.
