Siliconera’s 2022 Overall Game of the Year
We’ve spent the week honoring the best on each platform, but it’s all about this: Siliconera’s Game of the Year 2022. Is that what you expected? Some of our picks may surprise you, but what is certain is that each of them is well worth your time.
These awards represent the consensus of all Siliconera employees. For more award picks of the year, check out ours Game Archive of the year 2022.
Winner: Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Bringing the first two games together and building your own world is a difficult task for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. But hey, it somehow manage it! It gives the game a big help without making the all-too-common mistake of losing quality or being too thin in general. Memorable characters! Battle system with so many options you probably won’t see them all! This is something players wanted to see from the latest installment of the franchise, and they got it. This, along with numerous other successes, earned it the title of Siliconera’s Game of the Year 2022.
Legendary Pokemon Arceus
Not the game you were expecting here? Understandable! Its technological limitations make it less than of a great Switch game than a game in general, but we can’t deny just how much fun we played Legendary Pokemon Arceus. It may be intended as an experimental side game to try out ideas for scarlet and Violetbut we hope legend formula continues to see life in its own sub-franchise.
Signal
we say we want never forget Signal, and we certainly haven’t! Delivering a survival horror experience with a world worth exploring and truly memorable moments, Signal is a win for the game in terms of its atmosphere and genre.
