Senator Ted Cruz bought bitcoin During the soak last month, according to a new financial announcement with the United States Senate.

Texas Republicans bought between $15,001 and $50,000 of the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency on January 25, according to the disclosure. He used the brokerage River to execute the trade.

He speak out in August against provisions in a bipartisan Senate bill that would include new tax rules for companies and brokers that trade crypto. In November, Cruz proposed a Resolution that would allow caterers and other merchants serving Congress to accept cryptocurrency as payment.
