Russian television footage shows two Americans, Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan, boarding a plane after being released as part of a prisoner swap between Russia and the West.
Sixteen prisoners have been released from Russian prisons in the biggest prisoner swap since the Cold War.
Gershkovich, a Wall Street Journal reporter, and Whelan, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, are among those on their way back to the United States.
