Rune Factory’s new ‘Project Dragon’ Spin-Off introduces the main characters
Following the reveal last May, a new trailer for Rune Factory: Project Dragon has now been shared at this year’s showcase.
It officially introduces the game’s main characters, Subaru and Kaguya. Instead of farming, the couple will use the “power of dance” to communicate and interact with the world around them. Of course, there’s plenty of combat (including new weapons). Here’s the summary courtesy of the official PR:
“Players can choose to play as Subaru or Kaguya, two new Earth Friends with a new twist; they will use the power of dance, rather than farming, to communicate and interact with the world around them. This new approach to interacting with the world will feature non-combat tools, including parasols and drums; staple weapons such as swords and all-new weapons for testing, including bows and talismans.”
As noted in the original announcement, this new spin-off of the fantasy lifestyle series is set in an “Oriental Land with a strong Japanese aesthetic.” No release date or platform has been confirmed yet, but it’s currently “in development”.
