Rumor: This could be our first look at Sephiroth’s Super Smash Bros amiibo
Update #2 [Sun 9th Oct, 2022 17:55 BST]: Looks like Nintendo uploaded a new amiibo certificate on October 5th – titled “https://www.nintendolife.com/amiibo”.
Production date is August 2022 and September 2022. As noted by Nintendo cord, the time from certificate upload to production date is about two to three months on average. If this is linked to the upcoming Smash amiibo, it means we could see at least one of them in December.
Original [Tue 4th Oct, 2022 03:15 BST]: Super Smash Bros. can be done with development, but Nintendo still releases amiibo for it on a regular basis.
Now Minecraft amiibo Steve & Alex has been released, focus has shifted to the Finals Fantasy VII the villain Sephiroth. Masahiro Sakurai and Nintendo have yet to actually go public with the amiibo.
With this in mind, we now have a photo (via @zaypiie on Twitter) – potentially giving us a first look. One reply suggested it was from the Zürich Pop Con & Game Show, which took place over the weekend. There seems to be a crowd of people in the mirror image of the cabinet, as well as the amiibo below Sephiroth.
Update: Look same Tekken Kazuya amiibo is also there:
Remember, this is just a photo taken from social media – and we’ve yet to be given an official look at the Sepiroth amiibo. Masahiro Sakurai just announced it. Following Sephiroth will be Pyra, Mythra, Kazuya, and probably Sora from Heart Kingdom.
