Removed the force of dense fog at Aqueduct after race 5
New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) canceled the remaining four races on the nine-race card on Saturday after Race 5 due to dense fog covering the New York City area, leading to visibility concerns at the Aqueduct Track.
According to New York State Gaming Commission regulations, today’s Pick 6 bet group, which has a forward amount of $22,611, will be refunded. Staking and transfers will return on Sunday, January 1 with the required payout. Sunday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 with a posting time of 1:47pm
Saturday’s Highlights, $150,000 Queens County event, will be back on Saturday, January 7.
Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulation and online betting available through www.NYRABets.com.
Live racing continues Sunday at Big A, Opening Day of the 44-day Aqueduct Winter Encounter in 2023. The nine-race card features $150,000 worth of Females in Race 3. Post the first is 12:20 pm Eastern.
