Polestar is looking for a 300-mile range for its Polestar 2, as part of the transition from the single-engine model to rear-wheel drive. There are many other improvements to the battery, powertrain, and tech features set in the refurbished 2024 models.
Ford has filed a patent for a new type EV charging connector using magnetic coupling. However, it is not inductive charging and uses magnets to help align and protect the physical conductors. Sounds a bit like the MagSafe connector you might use for Apple products?
And according to data from the US Energy Information Administration, the rise of wind and solar in our nation’s energy mix will eliminate coal and natural gas—making electric vehicles cleanereven in the short term looking at the next few years.
