Rajasthan Royals reach first IPL final since Shane Warne led it to title in 2008
Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven doubles in Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad on Friday to reach the first Indian Premier League (IPL) final since 2008. The Royals will play the Gujarat Titans in Sunday in the summit clash.
For the Royals, their first final in 14 years is also a tribute to Shane Warne, the “First Royal” and one of cricket’s all-time greats, who has passed away. of a heart attack at the age of 52 earlier this year in March. Early in the season, in a match against the Mumbai Indians, the Royals players wore tailored outfits in Warne’s tribute. This is to celebrate the life and times of their captain, mentor and guide who masterminded their first IPL win.
