The Democratic-led House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol has issued a new round of subpoenas for far-right extremist groups, including the Proud Boys and the Proud Boys. Those who keep the oath..

“The Selection Committee is seeking information from individuals and organizations believed to be involved in the planning of the attack, with the violent mob that attacked the Capitol on January 6, or with the force to overturn the outcome of the election,” The committee chair, Representative Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said in a statement. “We believe that the individuals and organizations we subpoenaed today have relevant information about how violence broke out on the Capitol and the preparation that led to this violent attack. Selection is moving quickly to uncover the truth about what happened that day, and we expect all witnesses to comply with the law and cooperate so we have answers for the American people. “.
In response to these new requests for testimony and documents, the committee issued more than three dozen subpoenas to former Trump officials, allies, and organizers of the January 6 rally. recent subpoena Monday’s release includes controversial figures Roger Stone and Alex Jones.
To date, the committee has voluntarily met with about 200 unnamed witnesses, received 25,000 pages of documents and more than 200 advice via hotline.
