In a move that is likely to further boost electric vehicle adoption in the country, finance minister and prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated during a discussion on Revised Budget 2023 that the current exemption from import duties and excise taxes on imported complete electric vehicles (CBUs) will be extended for another year to December 31, 2025.
