Porter Airlines Doubles Florida Schedule With 7 New Winter Routes

Porter Airlines, a growing airline based in Canada, has had a major expansion in the United States over the past few years. This winter, the company plans to take a big step forward.
From late October to early December, the airline will launch seven new routes to Florida, more than doubling its footprint in the Sunshine State compared to last winter.
The winter schedule announced this week will bring Porter’s premium regional jets to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) for the first time.
The rail line will also provide Florida with its first direct flight to Montreal on the Porter line.
“We received positive feedback for our Florida service last winter. We now offer passengers significantly more flight options to accommodate their Florida travel plans this winter,” Porter president Kevin Jackson said in a statement announcing the news.

Here’s the full list of the seven new routes Porter plans to launch to Florida for the upcoming winter season — all of which the airline already operates Are not active last winter.

In addition to launching these brand new routes, Porter will also resume four seasonal routes that it operated to and from Florida last winter.
- YYZ to Miami International Airport (MIA): Resumes November 8 with up to seven weekly roundtrips
- YYZ to RSW: Resumes October 25 with up to seven weekly return flights
- YYZ to TPA: Resumes on October 27 with up to 14 weekly round trips
- YOW to FLL: Resumes October 27 with up to 14 weekly round trips

The airline currently offers year-round service from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, and from Ottawa to Orlando.
Expanding the US Footprint
Porter will fly all these routes with fast growing fleet The aircraft consists of an Embraer E195-E2 jet with 132 seats, arranged in a two-passenger per seat configuration.

As Porter’s new jet fleet continues to grow, the airline has taken steps to expand its footprint in the United States. off the east coast.
