Police rescue Kitten from Texas Highway Grate
On Interstate 20 east in Fort Worth, Texas, a small kitten is calling for help. The little guy got stuck in the storm drain and was wet, cold and confused as the traffic passed.
Luckily, someone spotted him before he got stuck behind the fence, and called the authorities for help.
Two officers arrived on the scene and were able to slowly coax the kitten out of his place – he was hesitant at first, fearing they were trying to hurt him.
Fortunately, the kitten eventually gave in and decided to trust the officers. Then they can remove him from the area.
“Officers and Animal Control took the kitten to safety and it is now in good hands at the Chuck Silcox Animal Care & Control Center,” the Fort Worth Police Department wrote on Facebook.
The police department decided to let their Facebook followers vote on a name for the kitten, and it was soon decided to name the cat Alexander (the Grate)!
Without a doubt, he won’t be at the shelter long before being adopted. He is a lovely little guy.
Things for the kitten may have ended badly getting too close to the gutter and the road, but thanks to the officers, it had a great chance to live a wonderful life with a wonderful family. loving family.
