A woman was killed after cause an accident and then run away through one Harry County police in a truck on the beach in South Carolina this week. Looks like she got hit by one Ford Ranger 2020 pickup truck around Thursday, 1pm on Myrtle Beach.
The police were driving the truck north when Beacher was attacked, according to WBTW News 13. She was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. Currently, the events that led to this terrible incident are still unclear and there is no word if Officer will face any disciplinary action (they almost certainly won’t.).
WBTW spoke to a man who was there when the terrible accident happened.
“In my opinion, I turned my back. I heard someone scream, ‘Someone got run over,'” Denis Miller said. “We ran over here and sure enough, there was a woman on the ground and there was a truck on top of her.”
Than witness Who did you talk to? WMBF News said that when the police truck drove over the woman and pinned her under one of the front wheels, people tried to lift the vehicle. forest ranger from her. Amanda Bilodeau told the outlet it all happened at once.
“I didn’t hear anything until I heard her scream and it was the most powerful scream, which you can’t do, not like in movies or anything else. It’s like pure fear or pain or both. Immediately I and probably everyone on the beach turned around and ran,” Bilodeau described.

Another beachgoer, Dennis Miller, said bystanders immediately tried to help.
“She was pinned underneath the car so a lot of men came and we tried our best to lift the car off of her,” Miller said.

“We hate anything like that that happened and as for that woman, we’re very sad for her as well,” Miller said. “It was just an unfortunate accident.”
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in Horry County, South Carolina beach, according to WBTW. Back in 2020, another person was struck by a Horry County patrol car while lying on the beach in Garden City. Luckily, she survived.
This is still a developing story, and obviously police has so far refused to issue a statement on the incident. Jalopnik will update this article when and if we have more information.
