Perodua Axia RS has been revised with a sportier bodykit, larger wheels, two-tone paint and dual exhaust tips.

How does this give a sport more on second generation Perodua Axia? Called Axia RS, this is the job of rendering wiz Theophilus Chin and is based on top AV variant.

Notable changes from the standard car show up at the front, with the Axia RS featuring a different grille design, smaller in vertical height and with a more distinctive mesh insert.

Like the original grille, there is still a chrome bar connecting the position lights in the headlight assembly, although it has now been accompanied by an ‘RS’ badging. The front bumper has also been tweaked to have large air intakes in the corners and the daytime running lights have been omitted.

Along the sides, the Axia’s side panels have been redesigned and the flat wheel arches are decorated in the same body color to look wider. A two-tone paint scheme is also applied with red as the main body color, combined with a black hood, A-pillar and rearview mirror – the AV has come with a black B-pillar. The larger wheels also help elevate the stance and fill the wheel arches.

As for the rear, the roof spoiler is made more prominent, while the lower bumper shows a partial contour that can accommodate a pair of exhaust pipes. A shark fin antenna would be a nice addition but Theo opted to keep the “roof tail” instead.

So, what do you think of the Axia RS? Is there anything you would do differently? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
