Hall of Fame racer Kent Desormeaux has caught three past runs of Santa Anita Mathis Mile Stakes (G2T), formerly known as Sir Beaufort Stakes. In this year’s edition, he has a chance to win a fourth as Desormeaux and his mount, CRK Stable’s Beyond Brilliant .
Desormeaux recovered from a sluggish 2020 to win three graded stakes this year, two of which occurred last month during the Hollywood Derby (G1T) aboard Beyond Brilliant and the Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes (G2T). Say the word .

Tarantino began his career on the West Coast, scoring on his two-year-old debut for Baffert and heading the decisive spot at the Zuma Beach Stakes. Transported east to Rodolphe Brisset, he ran five times, including finishing second in the Holy Bull Stakes (G3). Pioneerof Nile’s son passed a sales round for an ELiTE shipment at the November Livestock Share Sale in Keeneland, where he was acquired by Steve Moger for $235,000.
