Paralives Studio gave us all an early Christmas present, in the form of a look Paralives‘character creation tool. The video is a pre-alpha shot and it highlights that this is still a work in progress, but the character creator (called Paramaker, a name chosen by the game community) looks very detailed.
Paralives is a life simulation game that may even have steps to subversion The Sims‘supreme when it comes out. This character creation video is the best insight into Paralives we’ve had in a while. Be amazed as Paras change muscle, fat distribution and weight before your eyes. More importantly, you can give your Paras some cool tattoos and patterned coats, because what’s the point of having a little puppet to play with if they’re not cool?
Paramaker embodies what you’d expect from a character creator, but with great control and detail. The number of vectors you can edit on your Para body is large. Forget the head, shoulders, knees and toes; is read for necks, calves and beggars. You can even change their position, or customize small details like the size and position of the mole, or create your Para heterochromia (that is, different colored eyes).
But gosh, I love that you can change the pattern and color of your Para clothes as you wish. You will be able to create absolute couture nightmares and unparalleled stars alike. I want to do many things with conflicting statements. I’m not sure what it is, but I’ve heard it exists. Each garment on each Para will be an opposite pattern. Match acid ropes with angry checks. Why not? I mean, it’s like the kind of system where you can upload custom templates – but I don’t want to get too excited.
It’s important to note that Paralives also seems to offer pretty good control over your Paras’ skin tone, allowing you to choose the base, highlights, shadows and blush on your Para’s skin from a selector custom color field. It took The Sims literally 4 years to introduce a bunch of new, darker skin tones with color sliders and higher customization (coming in the next update). around this time last year).
The danger, of course, is that you’ll have a hard time creating everything, like when an RPG player spends three hours creating their character and forgets that there’s a whole other game to play. We don’t know much about what that realistic life simulation of Paralives will be like, as most of what we’ve seen is the construction of a life, not its life (lead developer Alex Masse told me last year that they “decided to start with build mode because it makes a lot of sense to create habitats for your characters first”). On the other hand, construction has always been my favorite part of The Sims, and players will be able to do some crazy things in Paralives if/when it comes out.
The development of Paralives is supported by a Patreon, so people care in a way. Unfortunately, there is still no whisper of a release date on Sauna but if you want to see more then official YouTube has, for example: house building video, right down to the buffer position and size.
