A second man has been arrested by armed police on suspicion of the murder of 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
The 33-year-old man from Dovecot was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.
He was detained by armed officers on Lunsford Road on Friday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “The investigation into Olivia’s tragic murder is ongoing and we still need to build a clear picture of evidence so we can bring those responsible first. Justice.”

Olivia’s family paid tribute to her, describing her as “unique, bubbly, inquisitive and broke the mold at birth”.
They added: “Although her life is short, her personality definitely isn’t and she lives it to the fullest she can, and will blow everyone away with her wit and kindness. .”
The family urged people to “do the right thing”, and said: “If anyone knows something, now is the time to speak up. Not ‘gross’ or ‘weed”, but to find out. who took our child away from us.”
