Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are married

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are married.

On Saturday, the model and the San Francisco 49ers quarterback tied the knot at a chapel in Watch Hill (a seaside neighborhood in Westerly, Rhode Island), and for the occasion, Culpo, a native Rhodian, wore a surprisingly simple dress. There were no beads or embellishments, instead, the Dolce & Gabbana crepe long-sleeved gown featured a high round neck, a flowing skirt, and a button-lined back. She paired the simple dress with a 16-foot-long lace veil and a minimalist beauty look that included nude lips and dewy skin.

“I didn’t want it to be sexual in any way, shape or form,” she said of her dress when speaking with Fashion“I wanted it to feel effortless and like it was complimenting me rather than overwhelming me. There’s a lot of beauty and simplicity.”

She added, “When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments he thinks I’m most beautiful in, it’s exactly like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.”

Culpo and McCaffrey first sparked dating rumors in May 2019, before the former Miss Universe confirmed their flirtation when she wore his jersey to an NFL game in the fall. Nearly four years later, they engaged with the soccer star popping the question while they were on vacation in Amangiri in Utah.

A few weeks later, Culpo hinted at a surprise proposal during a meeting. Amazon directtelling fans that she had no idea it was coming. “Christian deserves an Oscar for his performance. He had me lost the whole time,” she said. “I kept asking him if he was ready to get engaged or if he had a timeline in mind because I was starting to get uncomfortable… he never said a word.”
