The 2024 NHL season is off to an exciting start. Just four days after Florida Newspaper won Stanley Cupa miracle 2024 NHL Draft took place at the Sphere in Las Vegas, featuring some big deals along with 225 prospects finding new homes.
Now it’s time for the league’s 32 front offices to add to their rosters via free agency.
This is our constantly updated tracker, featuring a list of every player signed, along with analysis of the biggest deals and rumors about what could happen next.

The Bruins have added a big boost to the center position, scoring Elias Lindholm under a seven-year contract worth $54.25 million.
The Predators have entered the conversation, signing deals for three of the top free agents on the market:
Veteran winger scores Tyler Toffoli is returning to California, signing a four-year, $24 million contract with the Sharks.
Just won the Stanley Cup, defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson signed a four-year, $14 million contract with the Maple Leafs.
Veteran net maker Eric Comrie has returned to the Jets, agreeing to terms on a one-year, $825,000 contract.
The Blackhawks are focusing on the surrounding Connor Bedard with some help from veterans this summer, adding to Teuvo Teravainen (three years, $16.2 million), Pat Maroon (one year, $1.3 million) and Craig Smith (one year, 1 million USD).
After the transaction for Jakob ChychrunCapitals continue to add to their blue line, signing Matt Roy on a seven-year contract worth $38.5 million.
The Kraken have landed one of the top free agents on the market, signing the defender to a seven-year, $50 million contract Brandon Montour.
29 year old striker Sam Lafferty is headed to Buffalo, signing a two-year, $4 million contract with the Sabres.
Strong forward Jordan Martinook will not leave Carolina, signing a three-year, $9.15 million deal with the Hurricanes.
The Devils have added another key player to their blue line group, naming the former Hurricanes blue lineman Brett Pesce on a six-year, $33 million contract.
Veteran striker Kasperi Kapanen is re-signing with the Blues, signing a one-year, $1 million deal to remain in St. Louis.
Restricted free agent forward Connor McMichael has expanded its business relationship with the Capitals, signing a two-year pact worth $4.20 million.
Erik Johnson played 67 games for the Flyers in the 2023-24 season, and he’ll play a few more in 2024-25, with a new one-year, $1 million contract with the club.
Maple Leafs have been in talks for an exclusive negotiating period with veteran defenseman Chris Tanevand completed that relationship on Monday via a six-year, $27 million deal. The team has finally confirmed the new deal for netminder RFA Joseph Woll (three years, $10.98 million).
The Panthers have agreed to terms on an eight-year, $69 million deal with forward Sam Reinhart.
After trading a 2025 third-round draft pick for Jake GuentzelRegarding negotiating rights, the Lightning signed the striker to a seven-year contract worth $63 million.

Restricted free agency center Isaac Lundestrom re-signed with the Ducks, signing a one-year contract worth $1.5 million.
Utah Hockey Club continues to work on its blueline, re-signing with RFA Sean Durzi signed a four-year contract worth $24 million.
Needing a boost to the midfield this summer, the Maple Leafs will start with one of their players, re-signing RFA Timothy Liljegren signed a two-year contract worth $6 million.
Veteran striker Max Domi will not be exploring this market as he will return to the Maple Leafs via a four-year, $15 million contract.
