New video: Comparison of Royal Jordanian 787 aircraft in business and economy class

Above TPG UK YouTube channelWe like to cover some of the most popular airlines and itineraries around the world, but sometimes it helps to take a look at what might be perceived as weak.

Jordanian royal family is the smaller one Oneworld airline but still a solid full-service airline with a rich route network with over 40 destinations, a modern and efficient hub airport for the right routes, a great addition to use your hard earned Avios.

RADAR FLY 24

With Airline British competing on this route with aircraft and short-haul service, we wanted to test the in-flight experience of this full-service airline in both cabins.

Liam and I flew on a Royal Jordanian flagship Boeing 787-8 from London Heathrow (LHR) to Amman, Jordan (AMM). I sat in the back of economy class, while Liam sat in the front in business class, dubbed “Crown Class” by the airline.

I thought the seats were extremely comfortable although not as much personal space as other business class products. The fabric is soft and it really feels like you’re sinking into the chair. There is an extensive cocktail menu, and I opted for a tequila-based Espaloma. It was delicious and ranks as one of the best drinks I’ve had on a plane. Other than that, the crew was super friendly, and they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I wanted.

However, the experience was not perfect. From appetizers to desserts, the food service lasted more than two hours. This is largely due to the long wait times between courses. I also think that my legroom is quite narrow, making it difficult for me to get a comfortable position when the chair has been converted into a fully flat bed and although I was fortunate to have no one next to me, I had to sit. on a busier vehicle. The flight there would be a significant lack of privacy.

I love the overall comfort of the chair, the firm recline and the addition of a complimentary pillow and blanket that makes the setup even more comfortable. It’s a bonus to have a full entertainment system on a relatively short flight. Some competitors on this route do not offer this. The in-flight meal was delicious and plentiful, especially the fish main course.

My main complaint is that the fuselage is very close to the back of the seat and takes up my space, making my position a bit uncomfortable. The boarding process was chaotic, had to queue to enter the gate area and again to board the plane.
