To celebrate the upcoming release of Forspoken, the team at Luminous Productions is excited to announce a brand new line of “Forspoken Collections”. We’re so excited to finally be able to reveal this lineup!

Device inspired by the art direction of Forspoken

We’re excited about how things are going – especially the combination of the Forspoken logo, the added details, and other varied design elements. We love how the in-game inspiration of the designs is used to introduce modern aspects from a fantasy world.

Although Forspoken is an intricately designed game with tons of surprises and details, the core concept is “a mix of modern and fantasy”. The main story – Frey travels from modern times to a fantasy world – is a clear representation of the concept. In terms of concept art, we aim to create a whole new identity of fantasy notation and combine it with modern sensibilities.

T-shirt logo and coin: Yellow as the main color

In Forspoken’s world, gold represents magical power. Likewise in the modern world we live in, gold and magic have been deeply connected since ancient times. For example, alchemy involves the use of magic to create gold. Plus, economically, gold is inherently valuable and will always make it special to people. We have harnessed the magic of yellow as a primary color in the creation of Forspoken’s universe.

This new line’s t-shirts and coins allow players to bring some of Forspoken’s golden magic into their everyday lives.

Jacket: Frey .’s emblem on pants

Do you recognize the logo on this jacket? If so, you have a good eye! This symbol appears in the game on Frey’s jeans and is a subtle detail that not everyone can grasp. The motif of this symbol is Frey’s right hand, which she uses to cast her magic.

Frey wore the emblem without knowing what it was while still living in present-day New York City, which suggests that Athia may have been calling her for a while. From a design perspective, Frey’s black jeans blend the fantasy world’s cape and belt. This logo appearing on a real-life jacket is a nod to its original home on Frey’s jeans.

Badge Badge: Icon

The symbols on this pin badge perfectly represent the fusion of modernity and imagination. In terms of user interface functionality, modern and simple icons are great, but icons also need to evoke a sense of fantasy in a stylish way. We have carefully combined these two seemingly opposing elements and designed the icons one by one.

You can also see specific symbols on the pin badge in the game after Frey discovers her magical ability. These magical symbols are inspired by the signs Frey sees in modern New York City as well as her experiences in Athia.

This Pin Badge collection allows players to embellish their lives with stylish designs that represent Frey’s most powerful abilities.

Forspoken debuts January 24, 2023

Finally, I’m glad the day is near when I can share the art world of Forspoken we’ve been creating for a long time. The Luminous Productions team and I hope you enjoy immersing yourself in the universe we’ve created.
