Nebraska turned down a late intervention call to lose to Wisconsin



Officials missed a potential pass interference call in fourth in the five-yard line against Wisconsin in the final seconds of Nebraska’s 35-38 loss to the Badgers.

On days 4 and 20 at Wisconsin 21 with 12 seconds left, Nebraska midfielder Adrian Martinez attempted to get past Zavier Betts, which was blocked by cornerback Faion Hicks. Hicks made contact with Betts’ foot and caused him to miss a deep pass. After the game, Nebraska’s bench expressed displeasure with the missed call. Officials flagged Husker and allowed Wisconsin to hold on to the victory.

Wisconsin could overtake the Big Ten West with a win over Minnesota next week and date the winner of the Michigan-Ohio State game in the Big Ten championship.
