We’re (roughly) halfway through the 2021-22 NBA season, and that means the All-Star debates are about to start heating up.
Ahead of this year’s All-Star festival, which will take place at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, the tournament has begun the voting process for basketball fans around the world. Which players will emerge as the top vote recipients in each conference? Who can get sneeze treatment this year?

How does the NBA All-Star voting process work?
Fan votes make up 50 percent of the total vote to determine the starters for the NBA All-Star Game. Existing players and media members split the remaining 50 percent. Each ballot consists of two guards and three frontline players from each conference. Subs are selected by the NBA head coaches, and league commissioner Adam Silver selects injury replacements if necessary.
The All-Star captains will then select their team from the pool of qualified players (starting in round one, subs in round two). Captains will be chosen based on which player earns the most fan votes in each conference. They are not required to draft based on relationship or conference location.
How do you vote for the NBA All-Star 2022 starters?
Fans can vote for their favorite players through the NBA app and NBA.com Voting Page. They can also vote on Twitter by tweeting, retweeting, or replying with the hashtag # of the player’s first and last name (#FirstNameLastName) or a Twitter handle, along with the hashtag #NBAAllStar.

Fan voting for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game ends on Saturday, January 22, and the starting team will be announced in 5 days on Thursday, January 27.
