NASA says 260-foot asteroid 2022 YZ2, 5 other HUGE asteroids heading for Earth next week

NASA has announced six massive asteroids that will crash towards planet earth next week. Check the dates, speeds and other details about these asteroids here. The largest is the 260-foot Asteroid 2022 YZ2.

Space is filled with asteroids, comets, and meteorites, and many have been classified as Near-Earth Objects (NEOs). These objects are usually attracted to the Earth due to its gravity or if the planet follows their orbit. Now, NASA has issued a warning about 6 giant asteroids that are rushing towards Earth at breakneck speed and will get very close to the planet next week. NASA has announced their size, speed, danger level, etc.

230 sets small planet 2021 TL

The 230-foot asteroid 2021 TL will make its closest approach to Earth on January 9, 2023, at a distance of 5450000 km, according to information provided by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). This plane-sized asteroid is also moving at 30420 km/h (8.45 km/s).

140 foot asteroid 2022 YD5

Asteroid 2022 YD5, 140 feet large, will approach The earth on January 12, 2023. Rushing at a breakneck speed of 38340 kilometers per hour (10.65 km/s), it will make its closest approach to Earth at a distance of 3170000 kilometers.

260 foot asteroid 2022 YZ2

Asteroids 2014 LJ and 2022 YH3

On January 14, 2023, two small planet namely 2014 LJ and 2022 YH3 will rush towards planet Earth at 12528 kmph and 58644 kmph respectively.

Do these asteroids pose any threat to the planet? Notably, none of the asteroids mentioned above pose any kind of threat to planet Earth. They will simply pass by the planet. However, it is important to track their movements, as NASA has deployed a number of Earth and Sky based technologies such as telescopes, satellites, etc in space.
