Mother and daughter race to save an old dog with only one hour left to live
Nicole had heard of Doris, a senior dog that was an hour away from being knocked down. No one else wanted Doris, so Nicole and her daughter ran to the shelter and arrived just in time. The shelter staff was surprised that Nicole was interested in adopting Doris, given her age, but it only motivated Nicole more!
As soon as Nicole put Doris in her car, the pup looked relieved. Her new mom said, “It was the perfect end to her shelter life and the perfect start to her new life.” Now that Doris is with her family forever, she is enjoying her days like a spoiled child. She rides a horse and masters around her Chihuahua siblings.
Nicole understands that Doris’s time is limited and promises to be unselfish when the time comes. But for now, Doris is happy and loved. Nicole points out that puppies are quickly adopted while older dogs are left to spend their golden years in shelter kennels. Please spread the message that the elderly also deserve loving homes! Be a part of us and save it all!
