No one has a better July Austin Riley afterward Atlanta Braves.
In the last game of the month, Riley scored an RBI double in the center-right space. That double was his 26th off-base hit in July, topping Hall of Famer Hank Aaron’s franchise record with 25 XBH in a month.
Overall, Riley hit .423 with 11 home runs and 25 RBIs in July.
Then, on August 1, he agreed to a new 10-year $212 million contract that would keep him in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.

OLD JT Realmuto, Philadelphia Phillies
Realmuto is amazing in July. He hit 0.339 with five home runs and an OPS of 1,040. He’s been a huge part of getting the Phillies back into the playoff race and into a wild card position where they currently sit.
1B Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers
Before the break, Freeman had an absolute tear that really helped bolster his numbers for the year after a slower start in the power department. Since taking the break, he’s kept his cool and ended a great month with an average of .376, six homers and 1,118 OPS.
2B Ramon Urias, Baltimore Orioles
Recent Orioles are fun to watch. In June, they had their first winning month in 5 years. In July, Ramon Urias helped continue their good baseball streak by hitting .343 with five home runs and 18 RBIs. DJ LeMahieu was considered here, but in the end the strength of Urias and the RBI gave him a nod.
SS Trea TurnerLos Angeles Dodgers
With an average score of 0.327, five home runs and 17 RBIs, Trea Turner was the baseball player of the month for the July team of the month. He also won a shortstop start in the All-Star game at his home stadium in LA

OF THE Aaron Judge, New York Yankees
In the first 10 games after the All-Star break, there wasn’t much time to rest for Judge at the start of the game, he hit nine runs home and counted 13 RBI. He’s having a historic year and is on track to break the Yankees’ single-season home run record (61, Roger Maris). Judge hit the .344 mark in July with 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and an OPS of 1,282.
OF THE Juan Soto, San Diego Padres
Even among all the commercials, Soto summed up the best month of his 2022 season. He found out about his stroke in July, hitting 13 runs home and driving in 24 runs. Soto was one of the best players in baseball in July, he was one of the best players of his time, he was only 23 years old… and July was his last month. national team shirt.
OF THE Starling Marte, New York Mets
Marte has been the Mets’ MVP this season. Right, Pete Alonso are driving in tons of running and hitting for power. Right, Francisco Lindor has been many years better than last year and is an important key to success. But, to me, Marte is the missing piece the Mets need. He plays well defensively, he steals the base and thanks to his stellar July, he now hits the 300+ mark for the season. For the month, Marte reached 0.377 with four hosts and 1,019 OPS.
DH Matt CarpenterNew York Yankees
The Carpenter was a pickup that no one really paid attention to when the Yankees announced it at the end of May. In July, he was even better than the Astros’ DH, Yordan Alvarez, who is said to have had the best offensive season in baseball. Carpenter hit .343 with nine home runs and 23 RBI for the month. He also made numerous clutch appearances for the Yankees during his short time there.
SP Dylan stopped, Chicago White Sox
Since the beginning of June, Cease has given up a total of four earned runs. In July, he was 5-1 down, and a loss occurred in a game where he allowed a run. During the month, Cease gave up just three wins in 35.2 plays thrown and 40 eliminations to boot.
RP Edwin DiazNew York Mets
There’s no better game closer than right now. There is no better closer entrance in the game right now. Both belong to Edwin Diaz. In a month that has seen him run away from the barn so much, with trumpets blaring in the background, he couldn’t have been more dominant. He played in 11 games, made seven saves, threw 11.1 innings, made just two hits, not a run, and launched 25 shots.
That’s what you call domination.
