Mercedes-Benz has opened pre-orders in Australia for the new generation model, a rival to the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series convertible.
New Mercedes-Benz CLE ConvertibleLike the coupe on which it is based, it serves as a replacement for the smaller Class C and larger Class E.
Price from $135,900 before on-road costsThe convertible will come to Australia exclusively as the CLE 300 4Matic, costing $11,000 more than the coupe.
Standard equipment includes the AMG Line exterior package, Mercedes-Benz’s black Night Package and the Digital Light package, which offers adaptive LED headlights.
Mercedes-Benz says there are a number of Cabriolet-specific features, such as heat-reflecting leather seats, an ‘Airscarf’ headliner and an ‘Aircap’ wind protection system.
The 11.9-inch infotainment screen in the CLE Cabriolet can also tilt from 15 to 40 degrees to avoid the sun shining back into the driver’s eyes when driving with the top down.
The Mercedes-Benz CL3 300 4Matric Cabriolet is now available to pre-order ahead of the new convertible going on sale on July 17.

Effective
Mercedes-Benz has yet to release local fuel consumption figures for the CLE Cabriolet, however in Europe the CLE 300 4Matic has a claimed fuel consumption of 7.3-7.7L/100km on the WLTP cycle.

Maintenance and Warranty
Mercedes-Benz Australia warrants its vehicles for five years, unlimited kilometres.
Australian pricing has yet to be announced.
