Chenny Carter got a little scared Wednesday night (June 5) when a man tried to confront her outside a hotel in Washington, DC. The Chicago Sky guard was in town with her team ahead of their game against the Mystics on Thursday.

This is what happened to Chennedy Carter outside the Team Hotel
According to ESPN, the man was waiting outside their team hotel with a camera. Chicago Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca confirmed that the unidentified man attempted to confront the 25-year-old.
However, the team’s security forces quickly intervened and calmed the situation. Due to the activities of security forces, the police did not summon this man.
It’s unclear what the man wanted with Carter, although several teammates have publicly said the man used racist and misogynistic language against them.
Meanwhile, Carter has been a hot topic since last weekend after fouling Caitlin Clark.

During the game against the Indiana Fever, Chennedy shoulder-checked Caitlin, sending the former Iowa Hawkeye to the floor in the third quarter. Chennedy Carter immediately admitted a personal foul without review, while Clark was awarded a free throw.
After the match, Chennedy refused to answer any press questions regarding her opponent. Finally, her coach, Teresa Weatherspoon, interrupted the press conference because reporters were busy asking about the court interaction. Coach Weatherspoon says: “All they are doing is competing.”

After the game in Washington DC, several Chicago Sky players showed love and support for Chennedy Carter online.
Striker player Michaela Onyenwere took to X (formerly Twitter) to say that “harassed” at their hotel “is where the line needs to be drawn.” “Some fans DO NOT HAVE CHILLLLL,” she added.

Another striker, Brianna Turner, also spoke on Carter’s behalf. She made it clear that she was not present when the man tried to run towards her teammates. However, she stayed away from harassing players at their hotel.
