Man found guilty of robbing Safaree at gun end faces 50 years in prison!!
Tacuma Ashman, one of three men involved in Safaree Samuels’ 2018 gun robbery, was found guilty of first-degree robbery and faces 50 years in prison.
Ashan will be sentenced on January 28. He was also convicted of resisting arrest and possessing a weapon.
Ashman and his cryptographers followed Safaree’s social media to check on his jewelry. He then robbed Safaree’s $180,000 worth of jewelry with a gun from his NJ home. They then go on a high-speed car chase with the police across the George Washington Bridge and into NYC.

Carl Harry and Shawn Harewood were also charged. Harewood, an old friend of Safaree, hired Harry and Ashman to commit the crime because Safaree would recognize him. In 2019, Harry pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 364 days in prison and 5 years of probation for pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit theft.
