Malaysia Fuel Prices August 2024 Week 3 – Diesel Price Cut by Another 5 Sen to RM3.25/litre; Petrol Price Remains Unchanged

Here is the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, as the Ministry of Finance releases retail fuel prices for the coming week from 15 to 21 August 2024. This week, diesel petrol station prices will see a slight reduction, for those who do not qualify for the targeted fuel subsidy.

Diesel prices will continue to fall next week, with Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel blend prices dropping 5 sen to RM3.25 a litre, from RM3. Last week’s price was RM3.30 a litre.It has itself dropped from RM3.35 a litre since June 10 with the onset of subsidy rationalization program for diesel use in Peninsular Malaysia.

This also means that Euro 5 B7 blend remains 20 sen higher, or RM3.45 a litre. Retail prices of diesel in East Malaysia remain unchanged at RM2.15 a litre and RM2.35 a litre respectively. Meanwhile, petrol prices remain unchanged, with RON 97 petrol remains at RM3.47 a litreand current RON 95 ceiling price RM2.05 per litre.

These fuel prices will be in effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, August 21, 2024, when the next set of fuel price updates will be published. This is the 33rd time this year that the weekly fuel price format has been used, and the 292nd time since it was introduced in early 2019.
