Luke Clout breaks tib-fib in big crash at Mackay ProMX
Luke Clout has a serious problem
Luke Clout had a near-perfect start to his season at Wonthaggi but things turned like a pear for the 27-year-old in the second round in Mackay today.
Clout led the opening moto in Gum Valley before crashing hard in the third round of the competition.
Clout was looked after by paramedics for some time beside the track before eventually being transported to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured tibia and right fibula.
Arrangements are being made to transfer Clout to a larger city hospital for stabilization of the fracture.
Kyle Webster and Dean Ferris shared a Thor MX1 win at Mackay today, with Webster winning the round from Ferris, while Todd Waters took third place overall.
Webster currently leads the Thor MX1 Championship with 85 points to Aaron Tanti’s 79.
