Lucid Air Grand Touring performance 1,050 hp, 446 miles keeps the Dream (Version) alive

On Tuesday, Lucid unveiled the Air Grand Touring Performance, replacing the limited-edition Dream Edition Performance as the most powerful Air model.

Lucid built 520 Dream Edition models, which splits them between the Scope and Performance instances. However, the Grand Touring Performance and its companion Grand Touring model do not have a limited production run.

The Grand Touring Performance dual-engine makes 1,050 horsepower, not as much as the Dream Edition’s 1,111 horsepower, but it can still go 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, according to Lucid. The standard Grand Touring has 819 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds.

Lucid’s strong push to achieve the effect It’s not just the range that’s enabled, but also the performance in this model — with a compact set of components.

The 900-volt electrical system also allows the Air models to achieve a 300-mile range in 21 minutes — on a 350 kW CCS DC fast-charge connector — according to Lucid. An independent test also shows that the Air charges faster than the Model S, Porsche Taycan and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
