Lexus GX 2024 teased again – US launch on June 8
Lexus has confirmed the world debut of the Third generation GX will take place in Austin, Texas on June 8. Along with this announcement, the Japanese automaker has also released a new trailer for its upcoming “genuine all-terrain SUV,” combined with two previous images we obtained earlier this month.
The new preview gives us a clear look at the back of the GX, one side, which has some similarities to the very boxy shape. Toyota Land Cruiser 300. However, there are some differences such as the smaller taillights connected by a strip of lights, while the side mirrors have a more square design.
The GX also has more pronounced wheel arches and its window lines protrude in the center of the rear doors. Going forward, the SUV will come with a large beveled bonnet with raised corners to help the driver easily detect the corners of the vehicle when crossing the terrain. This comes with three-section headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights.
Again, Lexus isn’t providing further details at the moment, but the all-new GX is expected to use a GA-F version of Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA), which also underpins the LX. and the latest Land Cruiser. GX should have a sister model in the form of Land Cruiser Pradothat’s because the redesign has stuck to the fourth generation since 2009 – it’s been continuously updated for years.
In the automaker’s lineup, the GX sits between RX And LX, but we never officially had an off-road oriented SUV in Malaysia. The same goes for the Land Cruiser Prado, although there’s a lot more to be found in Gray market.
