Lewis Hamilton is knighted



Seven-time Formula One Champion Lewis Hamilton received his knighthood for the service sports car racing on Wednesday, the day after that he lost on what should have been a record eighth title after a tense final round in Abu Dhabi grand opening.

Hamilton holds the record for most race wins with 103 while he is tied with the great German Michael Schumacher on seven driver’s championships.

The 36-year-old Briton, the sport’s only black racer, was crowned Bachelor of Arts by Britain’s Prince Charles in a knighting ceremony at Windsor Castle in England.

Hamilton is the fourth F1 The racer was knighted after the late Australian Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss and three champions Jackie Stewart, and was the only person to receive the award while still racing.
