Lebron James has tested positive for Covid-19 and will not have to miss some games this season.
Lebron did not play in this week’s game against the Sacramento Kings and is participating in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
“Obviously, it’s a big loss,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said before the game. “It’s disappointing. We just want the best for him right now. That’s where our thoughts are. And we have a next man with a mindset.”

“I think he has no symptoms, which is a good sign, but we want to make sure he comes back,” Davis continued. “Health is paramount. This is bigger than basketball. He has a family. We want to make sure he’s good no matter what.”
Lebron has been vaccinated but he posted a tweet that appeared to cast doubt on the safety procedures he is now forced to participate in after testing positive.
“There’s something REAL (fish emoji) going on,” James tweeted.
