2023 KTM RC 8C
Overnight, KTM removed the cap from the second generation of their KTM RC 8C-only track.
Power has been increased by seven ponies to a total of 135 hp at 11,000 rpm from the revised LC8C tandem underline, which is a bit more than some new paint colors and a little more aerodynamic. Maximum torque is 98 Nm and reaches at 8250 rpm.
Internal changes have resulted in improvements including a new lighter titanium valve and control rod, two piston rings, a higher compression ratio, and a larger throttle body.
Increasing the clutch preload, removing the top balancer and adjusting the crankcase balancer provided durability, and the additional PANKL oil cooler provides thermal stability.
Newly fitted Akrapovic titanium exhaust system and closed 43mm WP APEX PRO 7643 telescopic fork and APEX PRO 7746 shock absorber are now softer; for more feedback and confidence.
Fine-tuned electronics mean that any setting of traction control, mapping, and engine braking can make the 2023 KTM RC 8C fit for a level of ability (or ambition).
Race bikes can be primed in a number of ways; from the adjustable steering head to the compensation of a trio of CNC machined calipers, throttle response and engagement from the Brembo Stylema brake calipers and the RCS19 Corsa Corta master cylinder.
A revamped dashboard with GPS data loggers records lap attempts while a KTM RC16-derived handlebar switch puts the rider’s left thumb in complete control during when the left foot impacts the reverse pattern of the QUICKSHIFTER + race.
Thrust and efficiency in braking and acceleration are some of the claimed benefits from the new aero package.
