Kraft Heinz is recalling Country Time Lemonade and Kool-Aid Tropical Punch powdered soft drinks that may contain very small pieces of metal and glass.

Kraft Heinz said it is recalling Country Time Lemonade and Kool-Aid Tropical Punch powdered drink mixes that may contain small pieces of metal and glass.
The recall includes certain powdered beverage mixes that are sold as 19-ounce, 82-ounce sticks and are shipping because small particles may have appeared in the manufacturing process, said Jenna Thornon, director of public relations them by Kraft Heinz said in a statement sent to NPR .
According to Kraft Heinz citing third-party medical professionals, due to the small particle size, accidental ingestion of affected product is unlikely to result in injury or illness.
The company urges customers who have purchased these items not to consume them, but to return them to the store for a refund or to throw them away.
Thornon said the recalled products involve some “best when used first” products between June 13, 2023 and October 3, 2023. However, not all products within the date range are withdrawn. Consumers should contact Kraft Heinz to see if the UPC code on their product is subject to the recall.
To date, there have been no reports of illness or consumer complaints related to the recall.
“We are committed to maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in all of our products,” said Thornon.
Last week, Costco has issued a warning to customers about the recall, as the beverage mix was sold in some of its warehouses.
The warehouse chain said the recall was notified by Kraft Heinz and the Food and Drug Administration. But as of Tuesday, the FDA has not posted a notice of the recall website.
