Kanye West wants his wife back but all Kim Kardashian wants is a quick divorce and moving on with her life.
“[Kardashian] has been trying to settle this way since she filed her Application for Dissolution in February 2021. [Kardashian] and her advice contacted [West] and his attorney several times in an effort to move this case to a quick and friendly resolution. [West] did not respond,” Kim’s court documents read to PEOPLE.
“The marriage of the parties has broken down irreparably. [Kardashian] no longer wishes to be married to [West], “the document continues.” There is simply no compelling reason not to file a petition to split and terminate the marital status in this case. “
Kanye was clinging to Kim but Kim was dating comedian Pete Davidson.
“There is no doubt that the marriage of the parties is no longer viable. [Kardashian] no desire to reconcile with [West] and want their marriage to end. Irreconcilable differences have resulted in the irreparable breakdown of the marriage, and the inability to save the marriage through counseling or other means. The continuation of a technical marriage between [West] and [Kardashian] serves no useful purpose, and there is no reason to maintain a legal relationship. “
