Jonas brothers received Hollywood Walk of Fameis the 2,745th star on Monday. Pop group consisting of brothers Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas, formed in 2005.
“This is a testament to the love and support of our fans, family and friends who have been with us every step of the way,” Kevin Jonas said at the ceremony. He called the group’s fans the “driving force” behind the band.
At the ceremony, Nick Jonas announced their next album, titled Albumwill be awarded the ladder of 5, then it will be a tourist. Album — the group’s sixth — will feature modernized 70s Americana and pop elements.
The Jonas Brothers became famous as Disney Channel stars, starring in rock camp their own movies and TV series, Jonas.
The brothers separated for several years in the 2010s with individual projects. Nick Jonas’ 2014 album of the same name includes songs that have gone triple platinum, two platinum and certified gold. Joe Jonas is the frontman of the band DNCE, which debuted with the single “Cake by the Ocean” in 2015.
The Jonas brothers got back together in 2019 with the single “Sucker”, which debuted at number one on the chart. Billboard Hot 100.
“I’m so glad that that day we decided not to do this anymore, that we changed our minds together,” Nick Jonas told his brothers at the Walk of Fame ceremony.
