The rugged, mountainous islands of Sardinia and Corsica, located west of the Italian Mediterranean Sea, have some of the best roads, best scenery and most unique cultures in Europe.
Hilly and winding, with a jagged coastline and craggy rock formations, Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean (after Sicily) and an autonomous region of Italy. It offers thrilling views while riding the perfect bends of the never-ending coastal cliff roads. Its rugged landscape is dotted with thousands nuraghi – Mysterious Bronze Age stone relic shaped like a honeycomb. Not to mention dotted with Roman ruins, Pisan churches and Spanish Baroque architecture.
