JetBlue is now partnering with Vrbo

There’s a new way to earn airline miles with a major US airline when you stay at a vacation rental.

On Monday, JetBlue announced a new partnership with Vrbo.

As part of the partnership, you can now book Vrbo stays using JetBlue’s Paisly platform, the airline’s travel booking site for non-flight bookings. That means you’ll be able to earn JetBlue TrueBlue points for Vrbo bookings and work your way towards Mosaic’s Elite Status — including the chance to win big bonuses in the coming weeks.

The move is a boon for customers looking to book more spacious accommodations than a typical hotel room, like a beach house or cozy mountain cabin for a fall getaway.

Although Vrbo is already part of a loyalty program called One keyIncluding online travel companies Expedia and Hotels.com, this Vrbo-JetBlue partnership offers travelers a way to earn loyalty rewards with a major airline program when they stay at a Vrbo property.

What is Paisly?

Paisly by JetBlue is JetBlue’s travel products subsidiary. You can use the site to book non-flight aspects of your stay, from hotel stays to car and home rentals — including, for now, through Vrbo.

Earn TrueBlue Points through Paisly

TrueBlue members who book travel or make purchases through Paisly can earn 1 TrueBlue point for every dollar spent. They can also achieve Mosaic elite status; every $100 spent on Paisly purchases earns 1 Mosaic tile.

Remember that 50 tiles is the benchmark to achieve the first-class Mosaic 1 status. However, when you only earn 10 tiles, you will have the first chance to achieve Menu Benefits you chooseincludes rewards like free in-flight alcoholic drinks on a trip, early boarding, and priority security, among many others. (You can choose additional perks when you reach 20, 30, and 40 slots.)

That would earn me 2,500 TrueBlue points and 25 Mosaic tiles—halfway to Mosiac 1 elite status. A $5,000 deposit would get you that status instantly.

Remember that you can also earn 1 Mosaic tile for every $1,000 counted in a number. JetBlue Co-Branded Credit CardSo, if you’re a JetBlue cardholder, this is a convenient way to accumulate your earned money.

August Promotion

To celebrate the new partnership, JetBlue is also offering a rewards points promotion.

From now until August 25, you’ll earn 3 TrueBlue points for every dollar spent when you book on Vrbo through Paisly.

That means a $3,000 vacation would earn you 9,000 TrueBlue points, which is typically more than enough for a one-way domestic flight—and could earn you a larger bonus.

The last line

Finding ways to earn loyalty rewards with a major airline or hotel program often requires a little creativity when you’re booking on a site like Airbnb or Vrbo — although there is To be how to do it.

A new partnership between JetBlue’s Paisly and Vrbo gives travelers a new option to do just that.

Long weekends or weeklong vacations often seen on Vrbo bookings can add up in cost, and this new partnership offers another way to get your money’s worth — beyond whatever fees you’d charge for a rewards credit card.

If you’re a JetBlue frequent flyer, a $3,000 beach house booking could earn you Mosaic elite status — or possibly award redemption in the airline’s premium class. Mint Cabin.
