Japan undersea volcano: Artist tries to swim in floating pumice stone
A significant clear-up operation has began within the Japanese island of Okinawa to take away pumice stone, which has amassed alongside its coast after an enormous underwater volcanic eruption in August.
The floating stone has lined the white sand seashores of the island’s resorts, blocked ports, wrecked boats, and killed farmed fish. One native artist even tried to swim in it – watch to see how she received on.
