The meteorological winter, defined from December 1 to February 28, has just ended, and data on average winter temperatures are available for the Pacific island nation of Japan through 2022.
So is winter getting colder, or is it becoming milder as the media wants people to believe?
Tokyo winter hasn’t warmed in 37 years
First, we look at the DJF average winter temperatures for Tokyo over the past 37 years, using unevaluated data from the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA):

If we had chosen and started the plot in 1988, ie excluding colder winters from 1985-1987, we would see winters in Tokyo become colder and harsher – in contrast to what the CO2 climate alarmists are claiming. Everything looks completely natural.
Hachijō-jima Island hasn’t heated up in decades
Next, also using data from the JMA, we plot the annual mean temperature of Tokyo Island as Hachijo-jimalocated about 287 km south of Tokyo – away from urban and heat island affects:
Data: JMA.
Although the past two winters have been quite mild, the winter trend since 1948 in Hachijō-jima has cooled down. There is no heating here.
Japan winter has been cool
Concerning the Japanese island nation as a whole, here is a chart of average winter temperatures from 1988 (to 2021):

There hasn’t been any sign of warming in Japan since all the hype started in 1988. Take a look.
8 Western electrical rules for noise systems
So what can we say about the data from Japan? Interested readers can check to see if the data pass all 8 “Western Electrical Rules”, meaning that the system is statistically stable and the annual variation is only statistical noise.
