Jaguar is withdrawing from manufacturing sports cars, at least the gasoline-powered ones. When the brand has a transformation plan to high-end electric vehiclesJag is celebrating the long history of sports cars by introducing the ultimate version of its most recent and final gasoline-powered sports car, the F-Type.
From the original and stunning E-Type to the legendary XJ220, to the 2013 F-Type introduction to the almost-there C-X75, this automaker knows how to build a sport car. More than 87,000 have been produced in the past 50 years. To celebrate this lineage, Jaguar is creating the ultimate F-Type that will be preserved for posterity.
This last F-Type will be an F-Type roadster powered by the brand’s turbocharged 5.0-liter V8, making it one of the last cars ever to receive this engine when Land Rover Switch to using BMW V8 engine. The beautiful color combination is the unique feature of this car. The exterior is painted in what Jaguar calls Giola Green, combined with a black roof and black wheels, while the interior is upholstered in Tan Windsor leather. Jaguar says this color combination is a nod to the last E-Type Series III Convertible produced in 1974.
After participating in numerous events and press tours, the car will enter the Jaguar Heritage Collection. There it will be kept and cared for by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection custodian. Although the F-Type remains available to order until early 2025, the brand’s current sports car era will come to an end. However, that doesn’t mean Jaguar’s performance era is over. Jaguar plans to introduce a new four-door electric GT model next year.
