Leigh Wood will defend her WBA World Featherweight title against tough Mexican tennis player Mauricio Lara.
Event, set for September 24 at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, will host two other world title matches. Hannah Rankin of Scotland will defend her super heavyweight title against Terri Harper, and Maxi Hughes puts her IBO Lightweight belt ahead of Kid Galahad.
The main event pits two famously powerful men against each other. Wood, who will be fighting in his home country for the second time in a row, made a staggering 12order knockout in his last match. The punch that sent Michael Conlan over the rope, put a full stop one of the battles of the year.
He told DAZN that what remains of his career will be high-risk.

Lara last blew out Emilio Sanchez but will probably be better known among UK fans for beating Josh Warrington from afar. His quick and fierce work left the Leeds man staggered throughout the skirmish before a wicked left hook knocks him out of the 9order. The performance marked his emergence as a dangerous man on the team.
In his rematch with Warrington, a cut on Lara’s eye forced the referrer to an early halt to proceedings with a technical draw as the official result. Many would think that this shot at a world title was more deserving of the Mexicans.
