ISCO 2024 odds, picks, winning lineups: Surprise predictions from golf model called 13 major tournaments

The ISCO Championship, formerly known as the Barbasol Championship, will be the opposite event on the PGA Tour this week. It was added to the PGA Tour schedule nine years ago and was moved up a week in 2022 to play opposite the co-sanctioned Scottish Open. The Champions Course at Keene Trace Club in Kentucky will host the event, and the ISCO Championship has not had any issues with low scores at the course in the past five years. Amateur golfer Luke Clanton, fresh off a T2 finish at the John Deere Classic, is the 14-1 favorite to win the 2024 ISCO Championship.

There are a number of other exciting young golfers near the top of the PGA odds table, including Michael Thorbjornsen (18-1) and Neal Shipley (40-1). Who should you target with your 2024 ISCO Championship bets when play begins on Thursday? Our proprietary model, built by DFS expert Mike McClure, has been incredibly popular since the PGA Tour resumed play in June 2020. In fact, the model has raised nearly $9,500 on the best bets since the restart, winning every tournament.

The model also won 13 majors over the weekend, including the 2024 Masters — its third consecutive Masters — and this year’s PGA Championship and US Open. Anyone who followed the model saw huge returns.

Top Predictions for the ISCO Championship 2024

One big surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 ISCO Championship: Thorbjornsen (18-1), one of two golfers listed at 40-1 to win the tournament, stumbled this week and failed to post a top-two finish. Thorbjornsen finished atop the 2024 PGA Tour College Standings and finished T2 at the John Deere Classic. He turned pro in June after earning his PGA Tour card for the remainder of 2024 and the entire 2025 season.

The 22-year-old has played in just 11 PGA Tour events in his career, finishing in the top 10 just twice. He has finished outside the top 35 in his first two starts this season, so it will be tough for him to match his career-best finish at the John Deere Classic. SportsLine’s model doesn’t see Thorbjornsen finishing in the top two again this week, suggesting better value is to be had with other golfers on the PGA odds board. See who else to fade here.

Another surprise: Jacob Bridgeman, a 50-1 underdog, has made a strong run for the title. He has a much better chance of winning than his odds suggest, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a big payday. Bridgeman has qualified in 10 of his 16 events this season, finishing in the top 25 five times. He finished T14 at the RBC Canadian Open last month before finishing T31 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Bridgeman can afford to go low this week, as he ranks in the top 25 on the PGA Tour in strokes gained from putting and scoring average. The 24-year-old is still a relative newcomer to the game’s biggest stage, which is part of the reason he’s undervalued this week. SportsLine’s model likes his chances of making a deep run against a weaker field, especially since he’s 50-1. See who else to support here.

How to make your selection for the 2024 ISCO Championship

The model also has three other golfers at odds of 45-1 or better making strong runs for the title. Anyone who backs these long shots could be in for a big win. You can only see the model options here..
