In the basement of the main building, were dormitory-style rooms that had been completely ransacked. The floor was littered with carpets, mattresses, clothes, shoes and other personal belongings of Ukrainian National Guard soldiers detained there. Officials at Chernobyl say that Russian soldiers took what they could when they left, and they also took detained members of the national guard.
